Here are a few pictures of the big mural project I just completed. It's a Sunday School program called the Underground. There are five rooms, a big meeting room that looks like dirt layers and tunnels, a rolling hills scene, a sunset room, a market room, and the upper room for the Lord's Supper. It was a total of 3,250 square feet of wall space!

These are some old water towers in the mountains near Vegas. I had to paint them!! I set up my lawn chair and did this in plein air at about 7:30 a.m. It's a watercolor and ink on paper and is about 8 x 10 inches.

This was a painting I did in Plein Air at Mt. Charleston just NW of Las Vegas. It was so nice to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather! It's at least 20 degrees cooler than Las Vegas up there! This is a 12 x 16 acrylic on canvas.

Here I chose some small items that a child might play with, and blew them up into a painting about 3 ft tall by 2 ft wide. I think it almost feels like a child is playing in a corner maybe hiding his little treasures from anyone on the outside.

This was a stair case that was actually behind a gate, and I was just dying to know what was at the top. I wanted to somehow crawl through those bars to sneak a peak. I guess I will never know what's there...just something I can imagine...a great discovery.

This is one of my first watercolors...still am experimenting with the medium. I did it from a picture that was about 1 inch by 1 inch and blew it up to about 16 by 20 inches. It's a fun exercise to play with.

This was an oil painting done as a commissioned work on canvas. i had actually done another eagle painting and two people were fighting over it so I figured I'd just paint another one. The flash gives it a little bit of a glare but you can get the idea.

As I wandered through a park near Minehaha Falls in Minneapolis, I noticed a mother and daughter taking in the beauty of a summer day. As I watched them share the moments together they looked to me like a walking painting , so I painted them taking in the beautiful greenery. Here they are watching some children actually splashing and playing in a pool of water.

Another Jesus picture...I first created this as a collage from magazine clippings and then painted it much larger. I did it off the passage: Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. Something a little amusing is his face is mostly taken from Brad Pitt in Troy. I believe one of his arms is actually Angelina's too. Just thought he clearly defined sacrifice.

This painting was an experiment with abstract art and colors and textures. When it was finished, it looked like a red curtain of vines opening to the right and angels floating in the backround dancing in the heavens.
